Bio-

I grew up on an apple orchard and cider mill near Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Spent most of my life working on the farm picking apples and making caramel apples for the mill.  I was never any good at playing any type of ball sports.  I was usually the last girl picked in gym class when it came to playing kickball. During high school, I was more into hanging out with friends, partying, and drinking.  I remember getting kicked out of gym class for talking to boys and not working out.  

Unlike most people, when I got into college, I realized there is more to life then partying.  I decided to quit smoking and pick up mountain biking.  Both my brother and Dad took me riding on some of the toughest local trails in the middle of winter.  I nearly froze to death and crashed a million times, but I loved the thrill and challenge of riding.  I still love the thrill of mountain biking today and constantly find new ways to challenge myself.  It’s a tough sport but so rewarding.
